Tough times need trusted leadership. With decades of experience in healthcare and in public policy, I know how to listen to people and work with both parties to get things done. I’m running for another term to keep working hard for the families of Lancaster County.
As a life-long resident of our state, I am proud of my experiences in rural, urban, and small-town Nebraskan communities. I currently reside in Lincoln with my husband John. Together, we have four grown sons and ten grandchildren, with whom we spend most weekends and summer vacations enjoying the natural beauty and rich history of Nebraska.
I have built a career of caring for Nebraskans, first as a healthcare worker and later examining systemic and structural barriers impacting the lives of our Nebraska neighbors. I've also been able to volunteer on the Lincoln Public Schools Strategic Planning Committee, the LPS High School Task Force, and YWCA of Lincoln Board. In all of these experiences, I’ve put people first by creating welcoming and inclusive communities where everyone feels like they belong and have created opportunities by breaking down barriers for people.
I am running for re-election because we need someone who has experience putting working families first. As Commissioner, I have cut taxes, invested in infrastructure, and supported mental health care in Lancaster County. I continue to work for expanded mental health resources and to make Lancaster County a welcoming community for all.
I'm hard at work for the families of Lancaster County. I hope you can help by contributing your time, talent, or a monetary donation today.
See you on the campaign trail!
